Today, the fact was pointed out,
That you were now with me.
I was faced with laughs and taunts,
But I guess you didn’t see.

I thought you’d take my hand and say,
That I was good enough for you.
But in the end I guess I’m not,
Because, that, you didn’t do.

I didn’t know whether to laugh along,
Or to tell you all I felt.
And maybe, just maybe you were wishing,
You were with someone else.

You looked at me and smiled,
And put goose bumps on my skin.
But you didn’t hear the whispers of,
"How could she get him?”

And everywhere I looked around,
I saw the same damn thing.
Sneering eyes looking back at me,
Ruining everything.

Why was it up to them to judge?
The differences between.
Couldn’t they just leave it?
And let me live this dream.

And so maybe there are differences,
But how would you know the truth.
If you hadn’t seen what we have in common,
Before you showed your proof.

Everyday, I'm getting looked at,
As If I’m not worth the fight.
As if I don’t deserve you,
And our relationship isn’t right.

And now I sit here wondering,
If this is all a game.
If you really want to be with me,
And if guys are all the same.

And so today I thought you would’ve,
Stood up for me and fought.
But I guess you can’t rest your hopes on,
